Rest in Me

Rest in me for there is no other way

Rest in me for I have given you this day

Rest in me for I have the words of Life

Rest in me as I have freed you from your sin and strife

Rest in me as I see your affliction

Rest in me for in my righteousness I give benediction

Rest in me as my flesh has been torn with hands and feet nailed to a cross

Rest in me for in my sacrifice you do not have to pay that cost

Rest in me as my word will impart infinite light

Rest in me and be counted precious in my sight

Rest in me as there are no others to rest in in this world

Rest in me for from my voices utterance this universe unfurled

Rest in me as I know you better than anyone you have ever known

Rest in me for I am above all and in all longing for your presence at my throne

Rest in me as it is finished the war is fought and won

Rest in me  for I have sent on your account a blameless one

Rest in me as I know that your flesh is evil in its decay

Rest in me for I have a new life in which you can live free and eternally stay

Rest in me as my provision will never be outdone

Rest in me for I Am that I Am in need of nothing, and sent you my Son

Rest in me as I have drawn you from the depths of death and have brought you to the surface

Rest in me for you are now adopted sons and daughters, saints with an eternal purpose

Rest in me as I am the only way

Rest in Me for My eternal presence will not ever go away

The cry rings out, it takes root in my troubled soul

But its truth is far from my mind and its simplicity is not effectual

Oh Lord give me rest, for my soul is ever troubled, restless on its own

Remind me of Your grace and your gift of life in which all my sin was atoned

Oh Lord give me rest, for I cannot find comfort and  any verity

Remind me of your lovingkindess, your Hesed and your loving Charity

Oh Lord give me rest, for my soul longeth after thee

Remind me that you hear my prayers and do not leave me in my helpless plea

Oh Lord give me rest, for my circumstance has become my king

Remind me of your joy, your songs and the peace amidst my suffering

Oh Lord give me rest, for my affliction has certainly gained its ground

Remind of your promises, the surety of them, your faithfulness to draw me at the trumpets sound

I Recall in my mind, that I have an eternal hope in thee

Your compassions fail not and your  new mercies cry ” Rest in Me”
