I did not expect the rain when there were no clouds within the sky
I did not expect the cross to be the place where my religion would die
Humility within is often claimed in the midst of a loss; A loss of one’s former self in a removing of the dross.

I am no longer a martyr of a creed, a cause or for another’s soul.
I am called to live a life of purpose, of redemption, of joy , varied and full.
High within heavenly places, I have been established for eternity to see.
The life of Christ was lived, laid down, and given to you and me.

I am not called to sacrifice what Christ freely gave.
I am not a vessel to be used by another’s wishes or a stand-in for another’s grave.
A life lived in Christ is a life lived absolutely true.
It is a life enriched in love and a way of grace with mercy in all you do.

The path of wisdom was never a way most trodden or clearly read.
It is a path into the darkness where only those with the truest light can be led.
Although it has dire burden, its treasure reveals the most sacred rightness.
The genuine souls who survive the trials of life by His Mercies manifest the glory of God’s Brightness.
