A New Horizon

There are inexplicable, variable, spontaneous, and astounding moments in our lives. We are surrounded by lives comprised of these moments and lives on the edifice of them. I find myself caught in the aftermath of one, it is really redefining my four letter enigma called LIFE.  I got married!

So before I say anything already said about this moment in particular I would like to dive into the makings of a moment and how I have found a new horizon altogether in my situation. First, like any moment there were a mirade of variables in play: I initiated a date, worked like crazy to have details fall into place, she began to like me, her life changed, my life was changing, our past lives collided, so on and so forth. This moment took a monumental amount of time, focus, yielding and great surrender.

“Overall it took God”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

You really do start to see a new horizon when you realize the complexity of a single moment and more importantly the God of it. You are who you are because of the grace of God, see 1 Corinthians 15:10 if you do not believe me. A moment is an eternal fragment, it takes an eternal author to orchestrate and to construct, its essence is the very essence of God’s workmanship, man cannot comprehend its artistry! Therefore the making of a moment is far beyond the mere variables that you and I can control let alone fully perceive. Think of a moment in your life, a defining one if you could, one that involved others possibly. Did you have control? Did you orchestrate each piece, plan its outcome, see its impact right away? Given the instance most answer no to at least one. God makes everything beautiful in HIS time.

You and I partake of it, contribute to it, shape it into our own experience with its own outcomes, add our signature to it as God orchestrates the moment. So with this little piece of truth in mind it is rather simple to progress innto this new horizon in our life. It is a horizon with the author and finisher, it is vibrant, joyous, adventurous, and utterly reckless at times. It’s a gaze into the holiest of enterprises in life. Our decisions resonate with great joy, our inner being finds a rest, our very breath is spent in a purpose the moment Christ presence saturates our life!

For me getting married took hold at that new horizon, in a moment it celebrated it and resounded as a life guided by it. I spent the majority of my life holding my breath for that moment just to find that Christ was the joy in it. I look at the photos captured that day the faces represented the investments invested as I see the power of God’s faithfulness not only to my wife and I but also to those who attended. It was just packed full of something mysterious and supernatural. The new horizon in the situation superceded the superficial nature of the event. It had such potential to be just another ceremony devoid of meaning and lacking purpose, but instead two lives, devoted to seeing more, vowed to become less so that others may see Christ more. There is a new horizon to be discovered in a moment! Take the time to see the God who has formed you and desires to take you as a son or daughter and provide you with the most gracious companion Jesus Christ. Your life can be changed, reformed, refined and enriched if you would just consider a new horizon that God creates so you may partake.

“”Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold all things are become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Be Transformed to His way today as you find the new horizon in your situation.
